Does your home inspector remove the clean out cap in the front yard and inspect the main sewer line? I do! A recent client was happy that I did because I found roots growing in the pipe of a 14 year old home. Roots can only enter a pipe if there is a crack or a break in the pipe. Correcting the crack/break will involve digging up the front yard and replacing the broken section of pipe. This particular home is on a slab so hopefully the break is not under the slab or that will have to be cut out too from the inside of the home. http://ow.ly/i/zxhUT
