Building a Business Debt-Free

Well, it’s official: I put in my 2 weeks notice at my j-o-b and in a few days I will receive my last paycheck. Not gonna lie – I’m a little nervous. But God. Yes, my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, will provide. He always has and always will. I hope to be able to use by business as a platform to show people a God that is alive and present in my life. “See what God can do through me.”

My wife and I have been working for many years now to become debt-free. We are on the Dave Ramsey plan. It is not easy. We are doing it, though. Only a short time and we will have zero debt, except for our mortgage. I am trying to do the same thing with my business. Zero debt. Build it as I am financially able. (exitonetaproom.com) I’m coming up with pretty creative ways, I think, to do that; like this blog, for example.

The world makes this task extremely difficult. Everyone wants you to sign up for this and that and get this credit card and open this account. Oh, and it has to be right now or the offer won’t be good any more. I’m fortunate because my tools are my God-given talents; I don’t have much overhead. But getting a business started and established is expensive. I am not asking for money and I’m happy to pay the fees for the services I choose to employ. Someone else started the business that I’m wanting to associate with and I respect and appreciate that. It’s just…difficult.

I am networking, networking, networking. I am thankful for all of my family and friends that promote me and share my business. With God’s help and my networks, I am sure that I will be successful! Thanks for reading!
